The rain in Spain falls mainly on …. Malvern. A game played in monsoon conditions did atleast provide some entertainment. This is to be my last game till after christmas and as i have been snowed under of late and chances limited i forced myself out despite been knackered. It was just spitting when i arrived and i was relieved of a whopping £3 for this level which is really rob dog. Always the same when you come to Malvern poor football at high prices.
This was 8th v 10th in this league and as soon as it kicked off heavy rain set in. Cleeve looked the better side in the first half and forged ahead on 25 minutes , a free kick given away by the corner flag and was dispatched into the net by a Cleeve head. Thats the way it stayed till half time , but the rain just got heavier and the ref deliberated whether to abandon but in the end the game carried on.
It was a much better half this time with a massive twist.2 mins after the restart Cleeve scored a 2nd a mishit effort bobbling in low and injuring the striker in the process.Suddenly the slow burning Town came to life , a cross off the wing eluded the keeper was tucked home for 2-1.
It suddenly became 2-2 from the restart the ball played to the left flank and a excellent finish put it into the fat corner. it became 3-2 to Malvern No 8 getting his 2nd by taking it round the keeper and defenders n smashing it hard into the net.Malvern finished it with no8 getting his hatrick by tucking it bottom corner. Admission was the whopping £3 and attendance was around 30.
