I had to get a new ground in today, so after recieving news from twitter that this game was on, I headed to the Pingles Stadium by the Arches bridge in Nuneaton. The stadium is housed at the back of the leisure centre. THe stand is quit impressive but it is another running track job that I’m not very keen on but a good enough ground.
I received a very warm welcome from a kind steward who told me to smile and gave me information on where things were. The programme was £1 and very informative. Nuneaton have had a below par season In 15th place while Leicester area in 3rd in the Midland League One.Nuneaton play in the blue strip.
The game sparked into life just after half time when Leicester scored from a 20 yard strike. It was 2-0, from the right they headed home. Nuneaton got themselves back into it, sending a backward header towards goal that dropped over the keeper. The final goal came in the last minute, breaking through and sending a low shot at goal that selected in off the post .
