Game 65 – Bromsgrove Sporting 2 Buckland Athletic 0 19/2/2017

The day has arrived, the FA Vase Quarter Final and both sides 2 steps from Wembley. I had my ticket for the South End… that’s the terrace without the cover. The Victoria Ground was full with just under 3000 turning up.

Buckland are doing well, 3rd in the Western League and fancied their chances .They bossed the first half, having a header ruled out . Buckland were awarded a penalty, but new signing Nathan Vaughan who joined from Solihull this week got down to his left.

Bromsgrove were a rejuvenated side in the second half and got back in the game,  when the keeper brought down a player, Liam Spink squeezed the ball into the bottom corner. The game was over, when Chris Lloyd cut in from.right before sending a low shot across the keeper into the far side of goal.  Robbie Bunn threatened late on with a spectacular strike off the bar.  Best of luck in the semis Bromsgrove !
