After work I watched this poor game at the Ricoh Arena. The development side were at home to Charlton in what looked a good clash , you would never believe this was top against 4th. It looked more like a basement battle
In the first half, Coventry gave a good account of themselves but Charlton had a slight edge. The star player for me was Coventry’s forward Kyle Spence who they strangely subbed.
In the second half Coventry keeper Reice Charles-Cook was a busy man tipping a couple of efforts wide. With the last move of the game Charlton forced a corner after a save. From the resultant corner, a Bullet header from defender Jo Cummings settled it.
For me, the game was unimportant but seeing the ground was. The Ricoh is a impressive Facility that is also used by Wasp’s Rugby and will certainly be the best ground in League 2 next season should they go down.
