A watered down Coleshill side were taken apart by their black Country visitors last night. Coleshill fielded a side consisting of under 21s and first teamers. Tividale on the other hand were looking to bounce back after a miserable campaign last season.
This was my first visit to Packington Lane since January 2015 and since then there has been a artificial pitch installed. Entry to the game was free and I would guess there was probably about 90 in attendance.
I was accompanied at the game by Leighavfc and we witnessed our first goal after 10 minutes, a cross from the right was nodded home by Tividale in the yellow strip. It was 2-0 after 19 minutes, cutting in from the left before rolling the ball in at the near post. It was then 3-0 on 21 minutes, a free kick not the box deflected of a Tividale player to wrongfoot the keeper.
Coleshill got a goal back on 28 minutes, with a low shot from 20 yards. The second half was mainly one way traffic again , going 4-1 up sliding in a cross.from the right before meeting a sweet half volley to destroy the young Coleshill side.
Admission – Free Attendance – 90ish
