Swansea beat a Blues side devoid of any ideas this afternoon without ever getting out of bottom gear. This friendly at St Andrews saw visit or Swansea bring a strong squad with player such as Fabianski, Fer,Ayew.
This game will be memorable for one reason only and that it was my daughters first ever Blues game. Only the kop stand was open for this game and even that wasn’t full.
The first half was even with both sides doing little , new signing Roberts was doing a good job at the back got Birmingham, Stockdale looked shaky and Ndoye looked lightweight.
In the second half, Swansea scored a fortunate goal , following a cross from the right Tammy Abraham was on hand to steer the ball beyond Stockdale who got a touch to it. The game was wrapped up when Leroy Fer easily scored with a low shot from near the penalty spot. Blues most attacking player was Che Adams who had a couple of chances including flashing one across the face of goal. I know this is just a friendly but if this is the best Birmingham can do it looks to be a long hard season more new faces are needed especially upfront.
