Game 34 – Walsall U18 3 Bury U18 1 14/10/2017

A tale of 2 halves at Ray Hall Lane saw Walsall win this morning. A rare trip to see Walsall new recruit’s was interesting but had little in quality in what was a fairly tight game.

Walsall have struggled so far being one from bottom while Bury have been going well in fourth before kick off and it was Bury who took the lead on 7 minutes with a superb lob over the keeper. Bury looked strong I’m the first half before a second half collapse.

Straight after the restart, Saddlers were level after Bury keeper failed to catch a ball, the ball was crossed low to be stabbed in. Walsall went ahead with a low shot into the bottom left and Bury were completely stunned when Walsall cut in from the right before firing a quality strike into the roof off the net.
