Villa destroyed a clueless Newcastle side at the Bescot last night. Harry McKirdy opened the scoring with a close range finish before Callum O’Hare netted on 17 minutes with a low zipping shot into the far bottom corner.
On 25 minutes, it was 3-0 when O’hare was miles offside but no flag was raised and after Freddie Woodman made a save, O’Hare put in the loose ball. Henry Lansbury added the fourth with a low shot in off the Base of the post.
It was tighter second half, Newcastle went ultra defensive and Woodman made some good saves Newcastle did not know how to play the game and conceded a penalty that saw Woodman save the first effort but O’hare swept in the rebound. The final goal came from Jake Doyle-Hayes sweeping in with a effort from a shot on the right.
