On a drizzly Monday night, Villa were lucky to best a Reading side at the Bescot. The battle of 4th vs 2nd saw Villa fall behind to a Reading goal on 8 minutes.
James Finnerty equalised crashing a header off the bar, but the ball bounced off the diving keeper and bobbled in. After half time, Callum O’Hare sent a low cross from the right and the ball was slid in by a Reading defender. The final goal was scored by Rushian Hepburn-Murphy heading in from a corner.
