Leaders Tividale were held in a fraught clash this afternoon. After playing football earlier in the day, a game wasn’t on the cards today but I soon decided to force myself out with half hour to spare.
With little time left, I headed to revisit the Beeches home of West Midland Regional table toppers Tividale. There visitors were fourth placed Malvern who I saw a few weeks back beat Loughborough.
Not many changes since my last visit, except the ground is now accessible four sides unlike 3 sides previously. The game was a good one in truth with both sides playing attacking football at a fast pace. Tividale in the yellow hit the bar early on , but Tividale’s keeper looked shaky in the minutes before the first goal on 31 minutes when Malvern had a rasping drive from outside the area , the keeper parried it but Harry Clarke gobbled up the rebound.
Tividale equalised on 40 minutes , after being put through Darragh Bustin lofted the ball over the outrushing keepers head from 18 yards. The second half, was quite flat in comparison with Malvern perhaps just shading it. They also had shouts for a penalty turned away. At this game I met fairly new hopper Gareth from Shrewsbury who runs a blog called Gareths Travels.
