Season Review 2018/19

Well the season has come to a end for the 18/19 season and it is time to write my annual review. Firstly thank you for continuing to follow my page which is now nearly 8 years old. this season I have found the hardest while groundhopping with work, family and my health. Despite being just 33, I was diagnosed with a form of arthritis a while back and sometimes it has been a battle to just find the energy. I lost motivation big time throughout November- January as the slump in games shows but I picked it up to try and finish on a higher number than it would of been.

Games seen – 57

New Grounds – 19

Favourite Ground of the season

I think my favourite new ground of the season has to be Welshpool , who I saw in September on a night game , lovely location large stand and lovely views.

Game of the season

It has to be Brereton Socials 25-0 over woeful Florence in December , a score line that I will probably never see again and I was so glad to be able to witness it , shameful goal whoring.

Worst game of the season

I would have to say Earlswood Towns dire 1-0 defeat to Bolehall , one chance the whole game that was scored and it was freezing. Maybe also matched by Boldmere’s 0-0 with Coventry Sphinx.

I have been unlucky enough to see three 0-0’s.

Hopes for the new season

Perhaps to do a few league clubs, maybe get some Gloucestershire clubs ticked off . I always say Torquay but I never get there but we shall see this time round.

I would also like to mention the couple of hoppers I have met this season , Gareth who is a relatively new hopper who I have spoken to online and who I met at Tividale , keep going ! and  Andy Morton who I recently met at Continental . Also a mention to the few people who ever decide to check out my ramblings on my YouTube channel AdjiGroundhopperTV

Now to take a break and wait until the end of June when I can start again .

All the best
