Woeful Vale had a second half collapse and gave Inkberrow the win they so really deserved. Nathan Davies hatrick lead the way in this performance.
After taking my daughters swimming, this was the nearest game I could get to. This Midland Division 3 game saw 12th placed Vale at home to high flying Inkberrow in the red strip.
It was as one sided as can be but after fluffing several chances and hitting the bar they finally took the lead through Davies on 37 minutes, when he flicked the ball beyond the keeper. Vales keeper is worth a mention as he made several good saves. Just before half time it was 2-0 sliding the ball under the keeper.
Vale started the second half brightly testing the keeper a couple of times before collapsing. Terrible defending paved the way for the third and fourth goals, another low finish before cutting the ball in from the byline and bundling the ball in.
The fifth was the goal of the game from the substitute who rifled in from 25 yards. It was 6-0, when Inkberrow were allowed to run and run, before a low shot bounced helplessly off the diving keepers legs, the final goal came when Davies turned and lashed in from eight yards.
