Game 34 – Lichfield City 2 Uttoxeter Town 0 1/2/20

Lichfield City won a game of few chances at a very windswept Brownsfield Park.My first visit to this ground in seven years, and it has seen alot of changes with it now been kitted out in a 3g surface as well as a extra covered standing area. I was accompanied to this game by Pasty Sam and Eggyhopper. The conditions were extremely windy and made life very difficult for both sides. Lichfield started the day in 5th place while Uttoxeter were 4th. Lichfield in the blue were the better side from the start forcing a close range save from Uttoxeter keeper. There was little else before Lichfield took the lead just before half time, finishing a low angled shot from 8 yards. At half time, we went in the bar, to which failed Pasty Sams expectations. The second half was still poor stuff, not helped by the conditions. The final goal came when Lichfield charged at goal forcing a shot that the keeper parried but the loose ball was stuffed in. It won’t live long in the memory though

.Admission – £5 Attendance – 73
