Solihull made it six of the best in a rather unfair scoreline at Church Road. This was my first time seeing new Midland League Two side Solihull who now groundshare with Boldmere St Mike’s. Solihull beat Fairfield 5 0 on Saturday and look a powerful side.
Northfield looked capable for much of the first side in their black and white strip and took the lead on 24 minutes from a lazily taken penalty that rolled down the middle. Hudlin equalized on 23 minutes, being allowed to run and run before shooting low. Solihull took the lead on stroke of half time Baker sliding in at the back post.
The second half, was all one way traffic, Delaney made it 3-1 nodding in from a corner. On 66 minutes, Hudlin got his second finishing at the back post from a right wing cross. Bakers header made it 5 1 before the final goal scored by Eden.
All in all a decent game, a strong performance from Solihull and they look a team to beat. Attendance – 66 h/c Admission – £4
